• I wirte my posting off-line using a blog client. I tried Zoundry, Blogdesk, Qumana and LiveWriter all produce the same incorrect result.

At publication formatting tags like break and paragraph becomes partly vissible. A paragraph starts with a leading ‘p’ en ends with a trailing ‘/p’ Occasionaly you will als find #160; or ‘/br>’

I must be something very simple but I can’t find the solution. searching the forums I cannot find a similar problem. Tried several themes, including the default, but all gave the same result.

The is a sample in Dutch on my new blog.

Meanwhile I kept searching for a solution. I’m using WP3 and I traced back the problem to the XMLRPC implementation.

After a lot of trial and error I discovered that the problem is a faulty LIBXML2. This library is part of php5 and there is a bug in some versions provided which removes the leading ‘<‘ on tags.

There is a plugin to fix this but it wont work in my case. After contact with Jason Katzenback he provided me with an updated version that works without any problem.

    Thanx
