    Is it possible to format a result of a calculated field as currency with a , and . such as $1,000.11 ?

    prec(0.035*(fieldname6*(fieldname5/100)),2)*fieldname8

    Yes of course, that’s possible. But the format is defined through the field’s settings, and not from the equation.

    – Enter the comma symbol (,) into the attribute: “Symbol for grouping thousands (Ex: 3,000,000)”

    – Enter the point symbol (.) into the attribute: “Decimals separator symbol (Ex: 25.20)”

    – And the currency symbol ($) into the attribute: “Symbol to display at beginning of calculated field”

    By the way, I recommend you to use the PREC operation as the outer most operation in the equation:

    
    PREC(0.035*(fieldname6*(fieldname5/100))*fieldname8,2)
