Support » Theme: Twenty Twenty » Format or remove page title

A simple and uncontentious question, I hope. When a new page is created in 2020, it has a title placeholder at the top of the page. Can this title be removed and/or formatted in the Dashboard, without going into PHP/CSS code? It’s not a block – all that appears when you click it is a permalink URL at the top – so it can’t be edited as a text block.

I strongly suspect that this is a fixed feature of the theme, and if so I’ll install the 2020 Options plugin.

That’s not an option in the theme itself, and it would require directly modifying the theme files, so if that plugin provides the option you’re looking for, I recommend using it.

If it doesn’t, also try https://wordpress.org/plugins/twentig/

Thanks for the reply, James, that’s what I thought. I’ve installed the 2020 Options plugin which looks like it can do most of the customisation I want, although slightly annoyingly it’ll hide the title ‘block’ but not remove it so a lot of space is left behind. Thanks for the tip about Twentig – I’ll have a play with that and see if it’s better.
