# Format help with 2010 theme

 * I have been setting up the 2010 theme and have a white boarder around the text
   area on the home page I wish to make black. Any help would be appreciated. the

 * Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Instead [create a child theme for your customisations](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes).
   Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

 * I have already modified the style.css, if I can just get rid of that white boarder
   i will be good. I alos don’t want to have a comment box on my home page. Can 
   you help with that too? Thank you for responding btw

 * be aware that modifications might be overwritten with the next upgrade of your
   wordpress version.
 * the white ‘border’ is the background color of #wrapper;
 *     ```
       #wrapper {
       	background: #fff;
       	margin-top: 20px;
       	padding: 0 20px;
       }
       ```
   
 * assuming the home page is a static page, comments can be disabled for individual
   pages from _**dashboard -> pages: quick-edit link below the page name**_

 * the white is gone! thank you very much. I dont see however where to disable the
   comment on my static home page. I dont see that option in quick edit?

 * thanks for your help, it seems I am getting there. but now after changing some
   text colors I have a white boarder around banner and I can’t seem to find where
   I made the change to make it there. I want it black. any help would be appreciated
