Form will not send

    I have developed a form on the latest chrome browser. It is more complex, having 36 input fields and the attachment. When I click the send button, nothing happens. No error message, nothing at all.

    So I created a new form that is a duplicate of the default form, with no additions. It tries to send but the wheel just keeps spinning and spinning and nothing happens.

    I am using simple wp membership as a login. I am using Contact form 7 style, I am using Contact form DB and Google Recpacha.

    My theme is Omega. I have no issues with my form on Fast Secure Contact form, but I cannot format things there exactly the way I need to. However, CF7 does not work at all for me.

    Any ideas what might be happening? I saw that some people had these errors when using W3TC, but I am not using that.

    Try switching to the default theme and deactivating all other plugins.

    Hello Takayuki,

    If I deactivate all other plugins no one will be able to log in, the data in the form will have no active database to be sent to, and my membership list will be useless for the functions it adds to the site in terms of notifications, and control of access to the site.

    Also, I have designed my site around this theme. Switching to default would mean I would have to completely re-do the site for that theme.

    Is there no other way to determine the cause besides shutting everything else off?

    Hi Will,

    The suggestion to change the theme and deactivate the other plugins is only a temporary measure to try to diagnose where the problem lies…

    i.e. If you deactivate all of the other plugins and then the form works, then you can determine which plugin is causing the problem by activating each plugin one by on, testing the form after each activation. When you activate a plugin and the form stops working, then you know what plugin is in conflict with Contact Form 7.

    Likewise, if you temporarily switch themes and the form works, then your original theme has a conflict with Contact Form 7.
