Form Plug-in to collect data... (6 posts)

First off, I searched, but had trouble finding any sort of answer.

What I'm trying to find is a plugin to collect someone's name, email, phone etc., as well as including 4-5 drop down boxes...then finish it with a submit button so all the information is transmitted to my email.

Does a plug-in exsist that would allow me to do this? More specifically, what I'm trying to acomplish is a site similar to the one located @ http://www.utahmortgageloans.net.

Also, I don't have much knowledge with any code or anything, that's why I was hopefull for a plug-in as I just learned how to use a ftp client.

Thanks, I checked that plugin out and it's close, but I'm hoping to find something I can install and have appear on the sidebar of the "home" page.

Any thoughts on that? If you have a chance to check out http://www.utahmortgageloans.net, you'll see how he has a short and simple form on the right side of his page, that's what I'm trying to acomplish.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and help out.

Could try and contact the owner of that site and ask what they are using...

Thanks, I've been in contact with the owner and he's willing to help eventually, it's just taking him a while to help. So, I was trying to see what everyone else thought, I'm new, so I wasn't sure how common this kind of stuff is and I also like learning, so I figured there might be a way I could learn and circumvent the problem tat the same time.

That's super simple to create actually.

The Form is just adding some lines of text and copy and pasting in your php file for the sidebar. Search in Google for "html form tags" and you get gazillions of examples.

If you would just want to e-mail to your e-mail adres just put in the form tag: mailto:blabla@gmail.com.

    See e.g. here: http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/interact/forms.html
    or here: http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_forms.asp

It's really only 10 minutes work and then you have your form.
