 * Hi,
 * The order in which I have set the form fields in the back end is not the same
   order in which the fields are displayed in the search result excerpt.
    Please
   help.
 * Also, is there a way to edit the text like “Search Listing”?
 * Thanks,
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fform-fields-order%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * Hi [@atomicbong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/atomicbong/)
 * I’m sorry to hear that you ran into issues with this!
 * For the field order issue, please be sure that you have used Manage Theme Tags
   to map the fields. We have more information on how to do that here: [https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/manage-form-fields/](https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/manage-form-fields/)
 * As for changing the “Search Listings” text, any string or label in the application
   can be modified with a translation file to be whatever you want it to be.
 * Although a translation file is traditionally used to change the language of a
   plugin, it also will change ANY string or label in the plugin (For example, you
   can change the word “Search” to “Find”) We have full instructions on how to do
   that here:
 * 1. Download the POedit software (You can find it here: https://poedit.net/) (
   NOTE: This is a separate program from BD Plugin).
 * 2. Find and download the POT file from Business Directory Plugin (in the wp-content/
   plugins/business-directory-plugin/languages directory of the plugin, named WPBDM.
   pot)
 * 3. Open the file and create a new translation
 * 4. Make all of the changes that you’d like to see in the plugin (i.e., Change‘
   search’ to ‘look this up’) using Poedit
 * 5. Assuming you are using English here, save the file as WPBDM-en_US.
    Doing
   this will create TWO files — a .mo file and a .po file. NOTE: For other languages,
   save the file as WPBDM-<langcode_COUNTRY>.po, where <langcode_COUNTRY> represents
   your ISO language code/country combination, such as en_US (English, US), en_UK(
   English, UK), fr_FR (French, France), pt_BR (Portuguese, Brazil), etc. Country
   codes can be found on this GNU website: [http://www.gnu.org/savannah-checkouts/gnu/gettext/manual/gettext.html#Country-Codes](http://www.gnu.org/savannah-checkouts/gnu/gettext/manual/gettext.html#Country-Codes)
 * 6. Upload BOTH new files to the wp-content/languages/plugins/ on your website’s
   server (NOTE: This is a different location from where you downloaded it from).(
   Second NOTE: You may have to create this file if it doesn’t already exist).
 * 7. IMPORTANT: Be sure to flush any browser caching you have in addition to any
   WordPress/web hosting caching you have so that you can see your new strings.
   View in Incognito mode to see an uncached version of the page.
 * You should now see your site with the new changes.
 * Please keep in mind that with each release, we add, edit or remove strings in
   the plugin, and as a result, those things are changed in the translation file.
   If you are using a translation file, you should update your translation files
   with EACH upgrade of the plugin.
 * Follow the instructions in this article for the steps to take to upgrade your
   translation file: http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/how-to-upgrade-
   a-translation-file/

 * Hi,
 * Please see the screenshot here:
    [https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fpmPqflYz0CYVJXq3G95R7l32oMCaMXT/view?usp=sharing](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1fpmPqflYz0CYVJXq3G95R7l32oMCaMXT/view?usp=sharing)
 * I only have custom tags. No pincode, state, etc.
    I am unclear even with the
   documentation as to how editing the theme tags will change the order in the front
   end. It changes the formatting, yes. But not the order. Please help.
 * Also, regarding changing strings, is there any other way which would not be affected
   by updates?
 * Thanks,
    Ankit.

 * Hi [@atomicbong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/atomicbong/)
 * Thanks for getting back to me on this and for the screenshot.
 * The theme tags was a suggestion since I didn’t know what type of fields you had.
   I have not been able to reproduce this issue on my test site. We are happy to
   help troubleshoot this issue with you. Can you tell me a bit more?
    – What version
   of WP are you running here? – What exact version of BD?  (number, please) – What
   exact version of any other BD Modules? (number, please) – What theme are you
   using?  – Have you modified the plugin? If so, how?  – Can you please send a
   link to the affected site?
 * The other thing we need for troubleshooting are the results of a conflict test.
   Please conduct this and let me know the results of this test. Theme and plugin
   conflicts are very common in WordPress, and a conflict test is used to help determine
   the cause of the issue. Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin
   conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue:  [http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/](http://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/faq/how-to-check-for-plugin-and-theme-conflicts-with-bd/)
 * Before doing a conflict test, it is a best practice to take a backup of your
   site before beginning or to do the test on a staging site, in case any settings
   are changed during the process.
 * For your question regarding the translation process — those files are not overwritten
   upon update of the plugin.

 * – What version of WP are you running here? 5.4
    – What exact version of BD? (
   number, please) 5.7.1 – What exact version of any other BD Modules? (number,
   please) N/A – What theme are you using? Divi – Have you modified the plugin?
   If so, how? Only changed custom form fields – Can you please send a link to the
   affected site? I can give you a login to my test site but I don’t want to share
   it in a public forum.
 * Please note, I am using a WordPress Multisite Network. And I have the plugin
   installed only on one subsite.

 * Hi [@atomicbong](https://wordpress.org/support/users/atomicbong/)
 * Thanks for that information. Can you please try changing this setting to see
   if it works?
    Go to Directory Admin > Manage Options > General Settings > Advanced
   and select the checkbox next to Disable advanced CPT integration?
 * I understand about sharing the information on this site. If that doesn’t help,
   please contact us with a link to this thread and that information here: https://

 * Hi,
 * Changing this setting did not work.
    I created a ticket on the link you provided
   a couple of days ago with the login. Please advise.

 * Hi Ankit,
 * I responded to your email on this and this issue is resolved by adding a category
   and a fee plan to your listings, which are required for BD.
