Form Bug

  • I am trying to insert a form into a page so people can subscribe to my phplist mailing list.
When I put the code into html editor and preview how it looks in the visual editor it looks fine, however when I click upload and view it on my page the radio buttons don’t lay out the way they are supposed to because wordpress puts a <br /> into my code behind female and male.

Here is what the form is supposed to look like and the code for it:
    http://www.kaiohana.com/Untitled-1.html
Here is a screen shot of what the page looks like and the code, with the offending <br />‘s highlighted:
    http://www.kaiohana.com/Untitled-2.html

Is there a way I can get WordPress to stop inserting the <br />‘s or is there a way I can edit the page content file directly and upload it via ftp so that I stop having this problem?

  • If the form is on a page, you could indeed just make your own page template for that particular page and include the form code there.

See Pages and Page Templates for more on that.

I was hoping that wasn’t the solution, though now that I’ve done it it wasn’t that hard.
If it was a post would there have been a way to fix it?
