• This plugin is a heavily glossed over fork of an old copy of WPtouch. It’s sad that they’ve changed the GPL license to be restrictive. Taking a fully GPL product like WPtouch and making it “copyrighted” is pretty bad form.

If you can’t beat ’em, copy ’em!

It’s sad that they’ve changed the GPL license to be restrictive.

Why do you say they’ve changed the license? All plugins in the WordPress repo are GPL or compatible.

    From mobileview.php:

    # All admin and theme(s) Designs / Images / CSS
    # are Copyright 2013 Colorlabs & Company.
    # and cannot be re-used in conjuction with the GPL v2 usage of this software

I’m just saying that WPtouch makes no such claim or copyright on admin and theme designs, images and css. That they’ve forked it years back and decided to release their version with tighter copyright is what I take offence to, and what I understand WordPress itself has made clear.

All code in the WordPress.org repository that is included in a plugin MUST be GPLv2 compatible. Period.

I’ll follow up with the dev.
