[Resolved] Forgot Password Issue

  • So I have run into an issue where the Forgot Password page is asking for Username and Email. You are unable to enter in either and do a reset password. For instance if you remember just your email you are unable to attempt to reset the password without contacting the website owner. You can go to the wp-login page and do that but would like to keep it within the wp-members system. Anyone else run in to this issue or know how to resolve it?

The plugin’s forgotten password reset requires both username and password.

Yes but is there a way to make it so that if no username is entered then just check email and send forgot password with username email? Run into an issue where the person doesn’t remember their username.

Currently, you could customize it that way, but it’s a fairly involved process. You would have to filter out one of the fields using the wpmem_login_form filter, and then use the wpmem_pwdreset_args filter to retrieve and pass the missing value.

It will still be a customized process in the upcoming 2.9 release, but I think it will be easier to implement.
