    Hello,

I’m fairly new to wordpress.org and recently created the website http://www.youngentrepreneurslondon.com

I logged in several times before but am clearly using the wrong password now.

When I go to http://www.youngentrepreneurslondon.com/wp-admin I get a login pop-up, but in order to reset my password I need to see the login page (with the ‘Forgotten Password’ option). I’ve read various forums and just can’t see how to find the page.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Shaun

You need to speak to your hosts about this. That .htaccess password is beyond WordPress’ control.

Okay I figured it out for anyone having this issue too.

You need to put [redacted] as your username and [redacted] as your password. This then takes you through to your login page where you can login normally.

You have just given the entire world access to a previously access-controlled area of your site! Never, EVER, post password details on a public forum.

Contact your hosts asap, let them know what has happened and ask them to change the password for your .htacess protection.
