# Forgot password

 * ok so.. after installing i entered in the password the installer gave me .. but
   when i logged out i forgot the password and forgot to change the pasword.. so
   i clicked forgot password and they never sent it to me.. is there a way i can
   go through FTP to get my password?

 * No, not that I’m aware of any way. If you didn’t change the password and have
   forgotten the auto-generated one, AND it isn’t sending you the password I can
   only really think of 2 things possible ways to fix it:
 * 1. Re-install WordPress (But this should only be your last resort)
 * 2. If you can access and browse your MySQL database you can change the password
   manually in there. (i.e. using phpMyAdmin)

 * Ack. Well, I’m having such a hard time with posts not showing due to lag or something–
   it’s being a PITA for sure…..
