    The forget password form of WooCommerce is not sending any emails for users to reset their password (https://www.sunshinetherapeutics.com/accounts/lost-password/). After submission it shows as send, but e-mails are not being delivered to any of my clients customers.

    The standard WordPress password reset form works completely fine: https://www.sunshinetherapeutics.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword (Hidden for security).

    All other emails sent from WooCommerce appear to work fine too, it is only the forget password form location above which does not appear to work.

    I have tried switching to a default WordPress theme to see if that was causing the problem but it still didn’t work. I turned off all other plugins one-by-one and attempted to resend till all were turned off, still didn’t work.

    Plugins I am using with Woocommerce:
    WooCommerce v3.5.7
    Wordpress v5.1.1

    Autocomplete WooCommerce Orders v1.1.0
    Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce v1.3.1
    Extra Product Options (Product Addons) for WooCommerce v1.3.3
    N-Media WooCommerce PPOM v17.0
    WooCommerce Email Customizer with Drag and Drop Email Builder v1.4.32
    WooCommerce Membership v2.2.4
    WP Mail SMTP v1.4.2
    Invisible reCaptcha v1.4.3

    Knowing Invisible reCAPTCHA might cause an issue, I disabled and issue still exists. I also disabled all other WooCommerce plugins thinking there might be a multi conflict and this issue still exist. I installed and configured WP Mail for more secure e-mail, but issue still exist.

    Knowing I am using lots of additional plugins, turning them off should make the form work if its a plugin conflict but the e-mail is still not being sent using this form, regardless of person who tries the forget password form. (Over 6 different people with different e-mails and none of them are being sent from this form). My client is at her wits end because her store is somewhat busy and people forget their passwords have been contacting her. She really wants me to fix this issue, but what I have tried is not working. I am not sure where to go from here.

  • Any chance that particular email (WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails -> Reset password email -> Manage) is disabled? The reset password page misleadingly shows a success message even if it’s disabled.

    I couldn’t tell whether you’ve tried logging the outgoing mail (you mentioned it showing as sent), but if you haven’t, try the WP Mail Logging plugin to see if it’s logged as even trying to send.

    You might also want to check that the password reset email template hasn’t been customized and is up-to-date.

    OMG Dan, I have build countless stores in WooCommerce and didn’t look to see if the easiest solution was available. That is WooCommerce -> Settings -> Emails -> Reset password email -> Manage) was disabled. And guess what… it was unchecked or disabled. Obviously, that should solve the issue. I did not test it yet, but assume it will work and if not, will double check your other suggestions.
