Support » Fixing WordPress » Forever theme right side bar on the bottom

  • Hi all… I’ve been playing around with the widths of my blog, because I wanted to utilize the space for more content than background. However, I’ve done something where my right side bar is now showing up at the bottom. How can I move it back to the top of the site?

  • Hi, I can’t see what happened because you haven’t posted a link to your blog. However, it sounds like one of those cases in which the sidebar doesn’t fit into the space left by the main column and this is why it displays at the bottom. Trying reducing either the width of the main column or of the sidebar and see if the latter goes back into place.

    Hi the link is:

    It looks like #primary (which is the main column) has a width of 100%. Simply reduce this to a smaller percentage, like 50% (just try out different numbers), and the sidebar will flip back into place.

    Thank you… I’m not sure it’s working, though…

    It worked with firebug, unless something else interferes, it should also work on the actual stylesheet.

    This is the code. Find #primary in your stylesheet

    `#primary {
    float: left;
    margin: 0 -33.2292% 0 0;
    width: 60%;

    I’ve changed width:100% to width:60% and the sidebar was back on top.

    OK… I changed the width to 60% and it seems that it delays in updating, so I will have to check back in a few hours… Thanks for all of your help! CSS coding is not my forté and I feel I really messed something up here!
