Forcing Post Dates folders

  • Hello all.
    I have a small problem.
I use wordpress as a blog to showcase works i’ve done over the years.
It happenes that sometimes I find an old work, that I forgot all about, and I would like to put inside the blog.
My problem is as follow: I can change the timestamp to an earlier date (say 2 years ago) , which would help with the order of the post, but when uploading the image for example, it will put it in the CURRENT year folder.
that creates 2 things . 1 – confusion in the order of files, and 2. – more seriously, my SEO URL is based on DATE , and so the post URL will say 2008, even if the work is 2006.
Is there a way to “force” wordpress to move all files to the folders that are compatible with it’s timestamp ?
