    Hello,

First I want to say I'm not looking for someone to lay this out so I can copy and paste. I look forward to the experience.

What I want to accomplish is pretty simple.. at least to me. I want to show an attribute filter ('footwear') for a certain category ('mens').

Although I'm creating a custom template landing page for the Mens section, which doesn't display any products. Having several attribute filters in the widgets area.

Can I use a wp_query to get all the footwear items in the mens category, then not display them? Will this still store the query for use as a filter? If there is a better way to accomplish this let me know too..
