Force users to select a shipping location (Disable the default pickup location)

This is a question if it’s possible to achieve and also a suggestion:

We have many users who select our “VASP Pickup” shipping option and then skip ahead and do not select their preferred pickup Kios point from the dropdown (so it leaves selected the first default “near you” kios pickup point).
Often they select this shipping without reading it’s title or description, perhaps might be happening likely just because it is a cheaper shipping option and people are just looking at the price.

After this they are surprised that they did not receive their product directly at home or that the pickup point is very far away from them, and that they “Can’t remember choosing a pickup type shipping”. Naturally as a company we are also harmed by this type of customer experience.

We believe it would be a good solution to allow an option to:
– Disable the default/predefined choice as a way to force users to always have to choose their own Pickup point.
This way if no pickup point is selected the users get a verification error on checkout e.g. “You selected a pickup shipping method, you must select the desired pickup point”
This way, it also makes sure the entire responsibility of the choice of a pickup point is on the user, since we are not “pre-selecting” a location for them.
