I am looking at the configuration pages and notice that the option “Force SSL for admin and logins is greyed out and set to no. I would like to set it to yes.
Per redirect my site has HTTPS via Letsencrypt.

    Please help and merry X-mas

You cannot enable it because it is already enabled by WordPress when you access your site over HTTPS.
You can see the code in the /wp-includes/default-constants.php core file line 307: if the URL is HTTPS, it defines the FORCE_SSL_ADMIN. That’s the way WordPress works.
If you want to always force HTTPS anyway, you can use a rewrite rule in your .htaccess instead.
