  • Stepping into a new position in my company and overseeing a membership service that is managed through Woocommerce falls under my responsibilities. Trying to get a grip on it with your help! Thanks in advance.

    Setup: Customers sign up for a quarterly share of our product via our WP website utilizing Woocommerce. Woocommerce is paired with Stripe for running quarterly credit card payments.

    Question: When a customer’s credit card information changes or expires, Stripe returns a failed payment status to Woocommerce, which then updates the order status to Failed. I have obtained the customer’s new CC info, have updated that in Stripe. I changed the customer’s subscription status from On Hold to Active. I set the order status in Woocommerce to Pending Payment. Was this correct?

    Will Woocommerce automatically ping Stripe to re-run the failed payment before the next billing cycle (Sept 1 – the payment in question was originally set to run on June 1st)? If so, is there any way to find out when that will run?

    If not, how do I instruct Woocommerce to rerun the payment?

    I’m reading up on the manuals and online resources as well as asking here, not being lazy 😉
