We are facing following issues with Geo Filter

1>If a customer place order directly from Home page by adding it to cart then he is able to place order even from store which is not his nearby

2>If A customer search one product from search box, then the search result is not getting filtered automatically

3>If A customer try to choose different location for ordering for someone else of different location then instead of filtering by previously selected location, it filters the products by his present geo location.

As per our observation we think that , if it’s possible to filter all the products by geo location from home page and keep the location saved until user closes the browser or user don’t exit the app, then the problem may be solved. Please let us know how to do that using this plugin.

We Are using Ajax Search Plugin.

Which shipping option are you using?

Please use “Distance rate shipping” to add such restriction – https://docs.wclovers.com/store-shipping/

    Hi,
The problem is not with the shipping . We are using force geo location option. But the problem is, if user intentionally want to buy for other location, where he is now, the force geo location is not allowing him to place order.
Even if he change location, after product search, the location is showing his present location. How to solve this issue.
If at the startup it takes user location, and use that location for rest of the time, till the end of the season, then this could be solved.

    Please provide some resolution.

    – Exactly, in such case only option to restrict using shipping setting. If there will be no matching shipping option available at check out then user will not able to place order for those products.

    Hi,
If we restrict using shipping option, then they will able to see store from all the locations, so it will be confusing for a customer. So, after choosing a product if they see that no shipping option for the product , then customers will be totally unsatisfied and will leave the site.

The shop page is filtering the location it’s ok. If we can use the same geo fencing option on home page also then the problem will be solved. At startup it will take location automatically and user will ave the option to change the location at startup. Now once a user changes its location the same will be available for entire season. Please let us know how to do that

    – Agreed. But problem is no existing themes support this.

We are in the process of creating such a theme. https://wcfmdemos.com/demo/simplestore/home-page/

    Hi,
We are using woovina theme. I believe it’s possible with this theme . It showing the products on home page. If we can create filter on home page , then it will work. We should not showing the map on home page, just the redious need to show.we can do the same on header . If we apply the filtering on header then it will be applicable on full site.
If we can get any short code for that, then we can try.

    – We can not create filter for theme. Does this theme has filter for home page product display?

If so, please know me that filter’s name.

I think “filter” word creating confusion here.

I am talking about this filter – https://developer.wordpress.org/reference/functions/apply_filters/

If theme showing products through any such filter then only we can impose location restriction on them.

    Hi,
Currently we are showing product by using parameters like this
    “[products orderby=”date” order=”desc” columns=”4″ per_page=”4″]”
If we use the parameter with in location filter then it will able to filter the products and show products of nearby location only. Just need to add on attribute to collect user location from Home page. We can use the same function that shop page is using for collecting location.
