Support » Networking WordPress » Forbidden page when editing site settings

  • I’ve gone into my Multisite network admin and gone to Sites => Primary Site => Edit to edit my permalink structure (to remove /blog/)

For some reason though, whenever I try to save it, I am taken to a ‘Forbidden’ page.

What are you changing your permalinks too?

    Hi again 🙂

By default, the permalink structure is:

    /blog/%category%/%postname%

I am trying to change that to:

    /%category%/%postname%

    EDIT
I just went in and made no edits, just clicked to save and still get the Forbidden message

    Is this a new site?

Yes, it’s just been set up

Okay. First, let’s assume you did what I always do and goobered something 😉

Delete the site, wipe the DB, start over.

Now, before you turn on Multisite, verify you can change permalinks. If you can, go on and enable Multisite.

Judging from what you said in the first sentence, you must know me :o)

I’ll do that and see what happens, thanks.

Nah, I’ve just managed to shoot my own foot a dozen times 😉 You don’t wanna know how many times, following my own directions, I’ve messed up!
