    You don’t have permission to access /wp-content/plugins/pdfjs-viewer-shortcode/pdfjs/web/viewer.php on this server.

    This message started appearing instead of my PDF document. It turned out that I had added some PDFs on my development domain (dev.mydomain.com), and these can not be displayed on my production domain (www.domain.com). So changing from one domain to the other solved the issue.
