 * I was having a “Too Many Redirects” problem, so I renamed my “plugin” folder
   and was then able to login to the admin area. I renamed the plugin folder back
   and disabled all my plugins in the admin area. I then activated them one at a
   time to see which one was causing the problem.
 * Now, all of a sudden, I am getting an error on every page (including the main
   non-admin page) that says “Forbidden.”
 * I renamed the plugin folder again and went back to the site and get the exact
   same thing. I have cleared my browser cache on IE, Firefox, and Chrome and still
   get the same problem on each of these.
 * Ideas?
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fforbidden-44%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)

 * OK, I just deleted the .htaccess file and the “Forbidden” error went away.
 * Can you explain this?
