Try temporarily setting
define('WP_DEBUG',true);in you wp-config.php file to see if any PHP errors occur.
Not really just put it somewhere above the “stop editing” line.
You are looking for unusual text in the browser when you visit the site. Some PHP errors probably at the bottom of the page, where the footer would go.
If you find any errors post them here.
If you had a good look and have not found anything remove the line from the config file.
If you modified the index.php file, check if you have the <?php get_footer(); ?> Tag.
I see no errors anywhere… and I know I have not edited the index page. IN fact re installed wp clean this morning with still no luck.
Oh, I meant the index.php of you theme, located in /wp-content/themes/whatever/index.php
