Support » Fixing WordPress » Footer disappeared

  • Hi there,

I’ve been making some changes to my website and my footer has disappeared. It show’s up on some pages and certain posts.

I understand that it is something I have done with the code, I’ve looked all the way through my code and used W3 validate to check for errors but I can’t see anything that would make this happen.

Could someone take a look for me?

    Many Thanks.

  • Sure, thing, but without a link to your site, it’s kind of hard. Also, please provide links to pages where it shows up and where it doesn’t.

Hi sorry about that, noticed just before you commented.

It show’s up on the contact page only.

I’ve tried removing all posts but it still doesn’t show up.

    Many Thanks.

Link is included in original post.

Looks like there’s an error on your about page as well. The footer is all the way to the right. In the source code, I see two of this – </div><!–//featured_post–>

I’m guessing you have one too many of these.

On the blog section, if you look at the source code, there’s no code at all after <div align=”right”>.

I don’t know what template you are using that in, but I would check and make sure that the php is ok. There’s probably a semicolon missing.

You should use the body_class() function in your body tag. It’s very helpful in letting you know what template is used for what. At least, I find it useful. 🙂
