  • Your footer is currently split in three columns, each with a set width.

    To get the text in the middle column to fit on to one line you need to make this column larger and reduce the the size of the columns to the left and right.

    It looks like your theme is based on Bootstrap which uses a 12 column layout.

    For example your footer columns are all currently .span4, .span4 and .span4.

    Changing this to .span2, .span8 and .span2 will result in it looking like this.

    This may require editing your themes footer so creating a child theme is advisable.

    It splits ’cause you put “a lot” of text on a single line, and the container is “small”.
    What about something like that:

    add_filter('tc_credits_display', 'my_custom_credits');
    function my_custom_credits(){
    $web_developer = '<a href="http://webdesign.australiaincampervan.com/">Francesco Colombo</a>';
    $photography = '<a href="http://www.rozimages.com/">rozimages</a>';
    return '
    <div class="span4 credits">
        <p> &middot; &copy; '.esc_attr( date( 'Y' ) ).' <a href="'.esc_url( home_url() ).'" title="'.esc_attr(get_bloginfo()).'" rel="bookmark">'.esc_attr(get_bloginfo()).'</a> &middot;</p><p> &middot; Web Development: '. $web_developer .' &middot;</p><p> &middot; Photography: '.$photography.' &middot; </p></div>';
    }

    Thanks a lot. It looks much better and tidier!
    I would rather keep everything in one line, but I like it like this too 🙂

    @fcolombo
    everything in one line version:

    add_filter('tc_credits_display', 'my_custom_credits');
    function my_custom_credits(){
        $web_developer = '<a href="http://webdesign.australiaincampervan.com/">Francesco Colombo</a>';
        $photography = '<a href="http://www.rozimages.com/">rozimages</a>';
        return '
        <div class="span8 credits">
            <p> &middot; &copy; '.esc_attr( date( 'Y' ) ).' <a href="'.esc_url( home_url() ).'" title="'.esc_attr(get_bloginfo()).'" rel="bookmark">'.esc_attr(get_bloginfo()).'</a> &middot; Web Development: '. $web_developer .' &middot; Photography: '.$photography.' &middot; </p></div>';
    }

    add_filter('tc_colophon_left_block_class', 'my_new_size');
    add_filter('tc_colophon_right_block_class', 'my_new_size');
    function my_new_size($class){
        return str_replace('span4','span2', $class);
    }

    woohoo!
    that’s EXACTLY how I wanted it 🙂
    thank you so much d4z_c0nf! you’re a star!
