# “Footer Copyright Text” Section – Adding HTML

 * Greetings, Ascend Support,
 * I would like to add an additional phrase with hyperlinks to the “Footer Copyright
   Text” section. The phrase I would like to add is the same as the last bullet 
   on–
    [http://mcintoshfirm.com/site-credits/](http://mcintoshfirm.com/site-credits/)
   Would you folks be able to offer a means to accomplish this?

    You can add a page break into your footer copyright text section
   like this `<br/>` then add your phrase after that. Would that work for you?

 * Yes, that works, thank you!
 * For some reason, I was incorrectly remembering that HTML code could not be added
   to the the “Footer Copyright Text” field (WP > Appearance > Theme Options > Footer
   Settings). I should have again tried before writing you and I do apologize.
