Support » Plugin: FooGallery - Image Gallery WordPress Plugin » FooGallery shows white page when trying to add/edit galleries

    Hi,
my client contacted me that he can’t add any more galleries.
I then updated to the newest version of WordPress (and of course the plugin itself).
When I’m trying to add or edit a gallery a blank page appears and nothing happens.
I tried to figure it out on my own for quite some time now but can’t find any issues.
No new plugins have been installed when this problem occurred (I think there was just one WordPress version update in between).
Deactivating/Reinstalling of the plugin didn’t help.

    Hi @panther2,

When you say a blank page – do you mean that you are still in the WordPress admin dashboard but the area where you’d normally be able to add/edit a gallery doesn’t show? Or are you getting a 100% white screen?

Everything is still working on the front end? It’s just the adding/editing in FooGallery that isn’t working?

    Hi @phillcoxon,
It’s a complete blank page unfortunately.
Everything else on the front end is working even the galleries showed up BUT only showed one picture of that gallery when clicking it.

    Hi @panther2,

Would you please go to FooGallery -> System Info and paste the contents of the report back here?

Any suggestions what could be the problem?

    Hi

Can you turn on wp_debug please? So that if there is a fatal error, you can see what the error is and where it is originating from

    (@panther2)

    Hey,
I activated wp_debug and just got this warning:

Warning: "continue" targeting switch is equivalent to "break". Did you mean to use "continue 2"? in /data/web/e95326/html/wp-content/plugins/revslider/includes/operations.class.php on line 2858

I deactivated the Rev Slider Plugin and the warning disappeared (apparently) but adding/editing new galleries are still not possible.

Those errors are not originating from FooGallery, so they do not help.

Can you ask your host for recent PHP error logs to see if there is anything coming from FooGallery when you try to edit the gallery.

We have not seen this error before, so I am not sure what the problem is

    panther2

    (@panther2)

I can access my php error logs but they all read the same error as I wrote above.

    (@phillcoxon)

    Hi @panther2,

Just following up to see if you’re still having this issue? I’m not sure what to suggest as the errors you mentioned are not coming from FooGallery.

It might pay to deactivate all of your plugins and activate them one by one to determine which one is generating the error.

Please also check your functions.php file in your theme / child-theme folder if you have put any custom code in there.

Yep, my problem still existed but as I didn’t receive any more answers I changed to another plugin which works just fine.

Thank you anyway for your reply.
