Support » Plugin: FooGallery - Image Gallery WordPress Plugin » FooGallery & Photon (Jetpack) Thumbnail Issue

  • Hi Folks! I just noticed an interesting behavior:
Photon (the wp.com media library CDN solution included with the Jetpack plugin) serves full-size images in place of thumbnails.

This may be more of a Photon/Jetpack issue than a FooGallery one, but I figured I’d give you a heads up since Jetpack has such a huge install base. If you pass a w=[width] query string parameter to photon, it’ll handle resizing which is super convenient:

A simple solution is to check if photon is activated and append the w=[width] query string to thumbnail image, while the “Thumbnail Width” value is readily available in the gallery settings.
