Hi, I just started using FooGallery, and I like the simplicity of setting it up.

The primary problem, however, is that the page on which the pictures are hosted takes a VERY long time to display, as much as 2-3 minutes. It does eventually load and works great when it does, but that’s pretty darn slow. Can anything be done to adjust settings to avoid this?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi

I had a look at your page and it is really slow as you say. I looked at the network tab in chrome dev tools to see what is taking the long time, and there is a resource loading in the sidebar “Compassion Sponsorship” which is loading a script from https://50.56.126.216/banners/texture/texture230x230.php?referer=132071 which is timing out after 20 seconds. This is slowing the page down.

Please can you try to remove that widget from the page and see if the page load time improves?

I did not know that part was loading properly; thanks for pointing that out. However, I have removed it and the photo page still is very very slow.

hey @sweyhrich I just checked the page again and it now loaded in 1.8 seconds as aposed to the previous 25 seconds. Also bear in mind that there are 72 requests on the page with a total of 1.4 MB in data so 1.8 seconds is a pretty good response time

Yes, it is working better now. I am not sure just which setting fixed it, but at least I am getting great performance from FooGallery now – thanks!

    You’re welcome.

Please open another support request if we can help with anything else.
