    Hi there,

I noticed today that the fonts I’m using in OMGF don’t seem to load anymore on my website. I tried removing the font files, redownloading them, and generating the style sheet, after which it loaded on the page, however, I visited the page later today and it didn’t work anymore (showing system default fonts again).

I tried this twice and also tried uninstalling the plugin, deleting settings, and reinstalling it. Same effect. Not sure if this issue is related to a plugin update or anything as I noticed the UI has changed a bit in the settings menu.

    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,

Which caching plugin do you use? Some caching plugins empty the entire ‘cache’-folder, instead of just their own cache.

What you could do to fix this, is move the fonts to another folder (outside the cache-folder) using the ‘Save fonts to…’ option in Advanced Settings.

Thanks, I’ll give that a try! I am using WP Rocket for caching. My host, SiteGround, also does server-level caching.

I don’t think server level caching has any impact on it. If I’m honest, I’m not sure if WP Rocket empties the entire cache folder. I have lots of users, using WP Rocket. Can’t remember any of them having this issue.

    But, keep me posted!

Hi Daan, just checked again today and the fonts are working fine. Seems like that did the trick, thanks!

Oh, that’s good to know! Thanks for reporting back! 🙂 Happy it’s resolved.

    Hoi Daan,

I got exactly the same error using WP Super Cache. I will try this now, perhaps it’s an idea to make an option in the software where you can save it automatically to a new folder. Like: “If you are having issues with your fonts not being loaded correctly anymore after a few days, it’s most likely a caching error. You should move your fonts to this directory [insert]. Click here if you would like to change the location. And then it saves it automatically in a different folder.”

You’re right. I could detect if that plugin is active and throw a warning.

I’ll add this in the next release!
