• Resolved sgslabel

Hi. After updating Redux Framework from 3.6.18 to 4.1.3 the fonts of my web-site (by MyHome Theme) had changed by itself and can’t be changed to the Google Fonts I like. I’ve restored the previous version from snapshot and all works fine. After repeted updating the plugin, the problem with fonts apears again.
Please advise me how to solve the problem.

  • Still breaking, using 4.1.7 on HUCA theme.

Warning: require_once(/home/***HIDDEN***/public/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/ReduxCore/inc/fields/typography/field_typography.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/***HIDDEN***/public/wp-content/plugins/nc-common/includes/redux-framework/fields/typography/typography.php on line 38

There has been a critical error on your website.

    Line 38: require_once ABSPATH . ‘wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/ReduxCore/inc/fields/typography/field_typography.php’;

@sudoranger can you send me the theme you’re using so I can test locally? wetransfer.com to dovy@redux.io. Thanks!

Also @sudoranger, can you confirm you are using Redux 4.1.7 or later?

@dovyp I have sent you the theme through wetransfer. This is obviously against the ToS of ThemeForest but please don’t let anyone know about it. 😀

I can confirm you that the above was tested on 4.1.7. I rolled back to 3.6.18 for the time being.

// shim: FYI, Huca was last updated on 25 January 19 so some dinosaur codes might have existed.

    Thank you.

I assure you I won’t publish anything. I’m emailing ThemeForest authors for their themes, haha.

I just tested and I can’t get the same error. Hmm. Can you give me any steps for how to see the error? Where is the error seen?

@dovyp That make sense, since they need Redux for their themes after all.

As you can see here on Line 38:

    require_once ABSPATH . ‘wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/ReduxCore/inc/fields/typography/field_typography.php’;

In 4.1.7, the folder is now called redux-core instead of ReduxCore which is non existence hence the fatal error for required_once() since it can’t find it. When I make the changes, it introduce all sorts of new bugs like OMG. For example, /home/***HIDDEN***/public/wp-content/plugins/nc-common/includes/redux-framework/fields/typography/typography.php on line 397:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method Redux_Functions::parseCSS() in…

Perhaps we should continue in the email because some data might be sensitive to post here. I will update this thread once we figure out the issue here.

That’s exactly right. I made an empty file to accommodate this. ;). Try 4.1.8.

I can confirm you that Huca is now working as expected on 4.1.8. I would like to send you my deepest appreciation and thank you for the awesome fix.

    Have a nice day ahead!

Fantastic. @sudoranger give it a try with 4.1.8 please. 🙂

    Hi, Dōvy,

I just updated to 4.1.9 and all my Google fonts are not functioning. I’m also using a ThemeForest’s theme called Proton.

Please let me know if there is anything I can provide to help you fix this issue. For now I’m backing up my site to a previous version of the plugin

@v1ao please send me a copy of that theme please for testing purposes only. Use wetransfer.com to dovy@redux.io.

    Thank you.

Everyone here. Please delete and reinstall Redux 4.1.11 and let me know if that fixes the CSS/font issues. If you’re not sure how, install WP Rollback, install and activate a previous version, then install and activate 4.1.11. If it works for everyone I’ll push a new release tomorrow so the changes can go out to everyone. Thank you for your patience and helping me test this out.

    Hey, Dōvy,

Unfortunately, the fix didn’t help. I updated to 4.1.11, refreshed the Google Fonts in the theme’s custom settings menu, but the fonts did not show on the site. I rolled back to 3.6.18 and the fonts are working there like they should

@v1ao can you provide me your site URL to dovy@redux.io? Thanks.

Few weeks later, It’s time to come back again to this topic.
I have the following message in the Typography:
“Your Google Fonts are out of date. In order to update them you must register for Redux to enable updates. Register to enable font updates. (learn more)”,
but my fonts are updated and have no other issues with them. It’s just the message which I dont know why should appear.

    MyHome Theme: 3.1.40
    Redux Version: 4.1.14
    WP Version: 5.5
    PHP Version: 7.3.20
