    Does anybody know how to change the font size of the text widget (not the heading) & the font size of posts? I already looked all over and I can’t find a solution, I already tried changing all the font sizes in my style.css, but nothing affects the font size of the text widget or the main content of my posts. Any help would be much appreciated. Can you also please be specific? I’m a CSS ignoramus.

  • For the post text size & the text widget, try adding:

    .entry p, .textwidget {font-size:1.2em;}

    to the bottom of style.css

    ill give a try, thanks!

    awesome, this actually worked, thank you so much!

    This isn’t working for me. I think I may have asked this in a different thread; neither of the codex URLs had an answer for me.

    All I need to do is bump up the size of the text — not the subheads — in my sidebar, and take down the size of the entry text a couple of points.

    My theme is WPComic, and the site is at .

    in your stylesheet.css towards the bottom

    #article #article_body #article_text {
    font: normal 1.2em Verdana, sans serif;

    change the 1.2em to what you would like (its the entry text–maybe just 1em)

    then for the sidebar, I’m having trouble navigating your css to find the sidebar stuff….I’m kinda new to this

    BUT….I did find /*module for the sidebar*/ in your css
    –that may control the size of everything in your sidebar…..

    The way I’d go about it is to change the font sizes in that section and see what happens! Seems there are separate entries for content, list items, etc.

    Excellent – this helped me with being able to change color and font in my text widgets. Thank you!!
