    Hi

    I wasn’t expecting this but my site has kind of got two flavours of font awesome. The core website is using 4.7. Then there is a new plugin I installed yesterday “font awesome” that brings version 5 into the mix.

    I was only trying the latter because I don’t an issue on my site. Two of my menu icons were not displaying and I was suddenly seeing that the menu would flash one set of icons over the other. With the former being ok but the latter showing squares.

    Thus I installed the “Font awesome” plugin which advertised itself as the official plugin to use to resolve all font awesome conflicts.

    It provided a list of plugins using font awesome causing problems and one of them was this plugin. Like I say, I didn’t expect it to flag up because I didn’t anticipate your plugin to use font awesome. Either way, when i deactivated your plugin my problem stopped.

    So I downloaded your plugin code and did a search for fontawesome:

    * Font Awesome 4.3.0 by @davegandy – http://fontawesome.io@fontawesome
    * Font Awesome 4.6.3 by @davegandy – http://fontawesome.io@fontawesome

    So you have a conflict anyway within your plugin using two different versions of font awesome. I think at the least you need to use one version. As I mentione dmy core site uses 4.7.

    The other plugin I am using is “Menu Icons” and that actually uses 4.7 too:

    * Font Awesome 4.7.0 by @davegandy – http://fontawesome.io@fontawesome

    Can you please look into this as I have to keep your plugin deactivated until resolved.
