Font Appearance Will Not Adjust

Hi there

I’m using the tecblogger theme and I have created a font control for #ul.menu-about which has allowed me to edit the type but it won’t allow me to really change much else. When I attempt to change the size of the type nothing happens except it looks like the padding or margin adjusts instead. Nor can I adjust the colour of the font. I can however adjust the spacing between characters.

My site is currently under construction so you won’t be able to view it. But perhaps you might have some advice anyway.
