    Dear Tim,
thanks firstly for all the work involved in developing and upkeeping this plugin, and making it available free for small websites like ours, much appreciated.
I have a question about your Beginner’s Guide. In there, under section 3, you write:

“Before you do any translating, make sure the following folder exists on your site, and is writeable by the web server:
    wp-content/languages/loco/themes

By the folder being writable by the web server, what does that mean? I have the following options in the Folder Permissions:

    Mode User Group World
    Read x x x
    Write x
    Execute x x x
    Permission 7 5 5

    will that be OK?
    Rik

Please see the manual page on filesystem access:

I can’t tell you what file permissions to set, because there is not a one-size-fits-all answer. Your examples are meaningless without knowing the users and groups that your software runs as. Plus I can’t be responsible for the security of your server. Please follow all the advice in the link above.
