Support » Plugin: TablePress - Tables in WordPress made easy » Folder system within TablePress Dashboard

    Hi Tobias,

This is a great plugin and really appreciate TablePress a lot. My question is, is there a way to have a folder system implemented within TablePress?

Basically what I am asking is if I could choose in bulk, say 10 tables, and then group them together into a folder. Mainly for cleaning and greater organization in the Dashboard Tablepress page. This would help not having pages upon pages of single Tables.

    Thank you for your time!

    Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

I see what you mean, but unfortunately, I can not help with a solution here 🙁 While I do have something like table groups or categories in mind, I haven’t yet found a good way to implement this. That’s also the reason why I can’t make an estimate on when this might be available.

A workaround could maybe be to use a custom grouping by table ID. As those don’t have to be numbers, but can be strings as well, you could give them individual group prefixes, like

    group-1-table-1

    etc.
Changing the table ID is possible on each table’s “Edit” screen.

    Regards,
    Tobias
