 * Hi,
    I am new to wordpress and I can’t figure out how to organize my site using
   subsite/subfolder structure like below and add new “home page” to each subsite.
   Please someone redirect me to the right site/plugin or documenation.
 * [http://localhost/IT](http://localhost/IT)
    [http://localhost/HR](http://localhost/HR)
   [http://localhost/Finance](http://localhost/Finance) [http://localhost/Legal](http://localhost/Legal)….
 * Thank you in advance.
    Roham

 * You can create tidy urls like that using permalinks”. See [https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks](https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks)
 * Then you assign “parents” to pages to organise them. See [https://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Organizing_Your_Pages](https://codex.wordpress.org/Pages#Organizing_Your_Pages)
 * Doing those two things creates a site structure like the one you asked about.

 * Using the permalink solved my problem. Thank you.
 * Now that the sites and the structure below is created, I am not sure how to create
   a content creator for each site. I’ve been looking through the documentation
   and I could not find anything that could solve the problem. I looked at the doc
   [https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities](https://codex.wordpress.org/Roles_and_Capabilities)

   and I am not sure how I can create an content creator admin for each site (create/
   delete posts/pages/calendars) for each site

    [http://wp/HR](http://wp/HR) [http://wp/Finance](http://wp/Finance)
   [http://wp/Legal](http://wp/Legal)
 * Thanks in advance.

 * I have no idea what you mean by a “content creator”.
 * If you’ve already installed WordPress then you can create posts and pages, and
   if you’ve also installed a suitable plugin you can create calendars.
 * Also not sure why you’re referring to “each site”. You only need a single website,
   with a single WordPress installation.
 * You said you’ve figured out permalinks. Can you confirm that you’ve been able
   to assign parents to pages to create the url structure you want?
 * If so, you should be able to create additional pages within those sections.
 * If not, what’s the url of your website? And at what point are you getting stuck?

 * Yes, this is s single site with permalink and parent pages.
    So I was able to
   create site with permalink like the structure below with posts & pages underneath
   each of the sites. Now, I want to be able to assign a user to add/modify/delete
   pages & posts for each site below.
 * [http://wp/IT](http://wp/IT)
    (user to manage IT posts & pages) [http://wp/HR](http://wp/HR)(
   user to manage HR posts & pages) [http://wp/Finance](http://wp/Finance) (user
   to manage Finance posts & pages) [http://wp/Legal](http://wp/Legal) (user to
   manage Legal posts & pages)
 * Thanks

 * Aha. When you said “content creator” you meant a person who can edit that section
   of the website. Sorry, see what you mean now.
 * WordPress out-of-the-box doesn’t have a simple way for you to give a user editing
   permissions for only a specific section of the website.
 * So you’ll need a plugin.
 * Suggest you research WordPress plugins for “roles” and check out a few. I probably
   can’t advise any further because this isn’t something I’ve done before. Anyone
   else got a recommendation?
