flowplayer plugin crashing suddenly, due to flowplayer ID greater that 1000?

    I tried to generate a new flowplayer video after long time (3 weeks). The ID jumped to 1504 , last ID before was 997. neither Chrome nor FF played the video. The page was empty! I generated a new video, No 1508 (flowplayer seems to count hours to create a new ID, isn’t??).

    I generated a complete blank WP page: http://www.zeitmanagement-fuer-aerzte.de/test1508/ The page shows any video!

    The same mp4, webm and ogv are inserted in flowplayer No 967: there it works: http://www.zeitmanagement-fuer-aerzte.de/test967/

    Why???

    And after testing for a hour so far the plugin crashed completely!!!! I can’t change setting of ANY video now! Videos with No. smaller 1000 work so my websits stills works 🙂 But the tabs that appear normally after click to “edit” aren’t any longer shown. WP jumps to post No 967 or No 719 and these postings do not exist! The plugin is shown in the dashboard, the list of videos is shown but “edit” leads to a posting with the ID of the flowplayer that does not exist. If I click to “new video” the URL shows “wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=flowplayer5”! All settings for flowplayer disappeared!!!! Alls tabs are shown any longer like skin, adsense! I restarted the browser chrome. But did not help!! HELP!!!!!

    BTW: I didn’t updated to WP 3.9 so far. I just updated to latest flowplayer 1.8 . But didn’t help. I updated to WO 3.9.1 . But didn’t help. Please HELP!!!

    The tabs appeared again after I clicked to the “hook” right hand of “flowplayer” bar 😉 , sorry, my fault.

    But the first error still present: I can’t add any new flowplayer! – I had the idea to recycle a old flowplayer that I don’t need any longer. And I found [flowplayer id=”373″], my first “test”-player. I inserted the same videos as in [flowplayer id=”1508″] and it works!! So thats the proof that flowplayer is buggy! Look at http://www.zeitmanagement-fuer-aerzte.de/test373/ . The video is shown perfectly. And look at http://www.zeitmanagement-fuer-aerzte.de/test1508/ : the video rests blank. Both only contain a flowplayer shortcut, nothing else [flowplayer id=”1508″] or [flowplayer id=”373″] have exactly the same settings and file.
    I can work some time with this workaround. But please fix it, Ulrich. thank you!

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOLVED !!!!!!!!1!!!!!!
    I have to choose “fixed player size”! Now even [flowplayer id=”1508″] in http://www.zeitmanagement-fuer-aerzte.de/test1508/ is show. What a surprise. I don’t why, perhaps of dimension 1280×720 and forcing it to 640×360 on the page. I don’t why even with other 640×360 videos for testing it didn’t work. Now I know the reason is so select “fixed player” , “change dimensions”, etc.

    I don’t think the issue can be with the id number and I have a video on my site with video id 3675.

    Could you please repeat what the current issue is?

    Hi Ulrich,
    thx for fast replay. First, I forgot “know” two times in last posting, i don’t know why … 🙂

    The issue is solved! I need to set “fixed player”, so every video is at least displayed. Otherwise I get a blank page. In the mentioned flowplayer 373 the option “fixed player” was preset, so my videos worked in this player instance. Thats all.
