I cannot help you without a URL. Please provide me with the link on your website where you see this happening.
Thank you for your response.
Here is a link to view the problem : https://tmp2311.fbcrea.com/test-lightbox-video/
I encounter exactly the same situation when testing on several different websites.
It is possible that Flickr might now be preventing unauthorized users from seeing videos. I checked on my website by removing my authorization credentials, and I too cannot see videos. When I put back my credentials, I can see my videos.
You can try this at your end by going through authentication (Photonic → Authentication → Flickr). If it works after updating your authentication credentials, then this can be confirmed to be a new change with Flickr, which I will include with my documentation.
Note that Flickr does not support videos consistently, and there are several known bugs with their video API.
The Flickr identification was already entered.
I started again by going through Photonic > Authentication > Flickr > Login…
Unfortunately it doesn’t work: the videos don’t start, but this time the video controls appear. I imagine that there is, as you say, a video format incompatibility or technical restrictions…
In the link you pasted, your videos seem to be working fine. I am able to click on them and see them running without any issues. You will not be able to see my videos on your site, because for that you would need my authorization credentials. But, your videos should work fine with your authorization credentials, and I can see them running fine – they show up with a “Play” icon on the thumbnail, and when you click on those, they launch in a lightbox and play without issues.
Yes, I lately used your gallery to test and compare, but it’s logical that it doesn’t work on my site, I understand that.
My videos are not playing on my browser ( capture: https://tmp2311.fbcrea.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/video-Flickr-Photonic.png ), I don’t know why.
I will try another time to download different video formats on Flikcr (mov, mp4…) to see. For now I will look for alternatives.
Thank you very much for your help and time spent on this issue!
Which browser is this happening in? I tried out your site on Windows in Chrome, Firefox and Edge, and it works fine on all of them.
Doesn’t work on FFox desktop – Mac OS 12.6.8
It’s ok on Chrome – Android
