Flickering in crossfade

  • May I suggest adding a default preloading function to the plugin? The only problem I have with this plugin is that in the middle of the crossfade effect, I am seeing the download of the next image, (portions of the image downloaded gradually) which does not look very good. The images are about 150-250kb each. My crossfade slide is set to apx. the middle and I’m using Chrome 24 on OS X 10.6.8.

Otherwise thanks a bunch for a great plugin, it’s miles beyond the others I tried.

(edit: I just added preload code manually so you won’t see the flicker effect anymore)

    Hi!

Unfortunately, that is a known bug you’re describing. Normally it will load the next image in the background, and once it has finished loading it, start the effect. The bug causes BGM to receive a “finished loading” signal too soon (due to browser caching).

The fix is already available in the development branch at Github, but I will get this pushed through to WordPress.org soon.

    Sorry about that!
