# FLAT theme

 * Hi,
 * I’m trying to hide the author name in posts etc.
 * I’ve tried going to appearance > customize. Then Single Post.
 * All three boxes are already ticked but it doesn’t actually hide the “author box”
 * I’ve also tried posting in the themes support pages, but with no response.
 * Thanks for any help

 * Unfortunately, there’s no specific selector that would let you target “by” without
   removing all of the post meta data.
 * The developers and users of that theme would be the best people to ask if this
