Just to clarify, downgrading to a previous version is not recommended as it may expose your site to security vulnerabilities.

System Status Report which you can find via WooCommerce > Status > Get system report > Copy for support.
Fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

For the record, I installed a fresh clean installation of WordPress, no additional themes or plugins besides Woocommerce and the issue still persists. I also tried testing with different hosting providers and the same result appears.

This issue has already been reported to our developers: #42892.
Currently, we don’t have an estimate on when a fix will be released. To stay updated, I suggest subscribing to the report from the sidebar.

As a temporary workaround, you can revert back to version 8.3.1. Plugins like WP-Rollback can make this process easier.

Hi, just reporting in having the same issue. We are currently in the process of updating all the shipping costs for 2024 (which are about 250 different options) so the solution with the database workaround proposed in another thread will be to risky with those amount of numbers. The only solution for now seems to rollback to v8.3.1 which is a safety risk but the only workaround.
I hope a fix will be implemented soon (and before the end of 2023 since a lot of people will have to update shipping costs in the new year).

Our developers are aware of the issue and are working around the clock to bring a fix to the issue. As we may not be able to give the exact date when a fix would be ready, it might be available in the next update.

This is ridiculous, not only is the formula no longer saving, it has wiped out all the formulas previously configured for shipping classes! Now the cliff drop in revenue in December starts to make sense.
Business is hard to come by as it is, having an unreliable framework to build on is even worse and is costing more loss of business and loss of confidence in the woo platform.
Please, treat this issue as a priority to fix given that you don’t recommend roll backs, yet release half baked updates! “Might be” is far from confidence inspiring.
