    Is there a plugin that can help me put up a flashing message on my WP site?
 * Something like “hot news” in red and it keeps flashing…

 * most people make a flash file, or animated gif in an art/photo program, and then
   use it on their theme.
 * If I may offer a suggestion….please don’t do it
