# Flash uploader IO Error with https

 * I get an IO error if I try to upload images using the flash uploader when I’m
   logged in through https. It’s not a problem with the browser uploader, or if 
   I log into admin through unsecured http.
 * The obvious answer is to use the browser uploader, but I have tons of image files
   I need to upload and uploading one by one is getting to be quite a pain. Anyone
   know if there’s a workaround to make the flash uploader work with https? Thanks!

 * This usually happens when you have an untrusted (i.e. self-signed) SSL certificate.
   I have a plugin to work around this issue ([http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/aarons-no-ssl-flash-upload/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/aarons-no-ssl-flash-upload/)),
   but it disables SSL for Flash file uploads.
