 * recently the audio player has stopped working with several browsers. It either
   doesn’t show up or says flash must be installed and java activated.
 * My insta;l is older, and I don’t see sermon manager in the plugins list. Wondering
   if the newer version has an HTML5 player and/or how to use an HTML5 player instead.
 * Anyone run into having the install not show up in plugins? (I don’t know how
   to update it otherwise… its in my dashboard sidebar, and working fine otherwise.)
 * The page I need help with: _[[log in](https://login.wordpress.org/?redirect_to=https%3A%2F%2Fwordpress.org%2Fsupport%2Ftopic%2Fflash-player-2%2F%3Foutput_format%3Dmd&locale=en_US)
   to see the link]_

 * Hey [@pgraham](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pgraham/),
 * What version of the Sermon Manager are you using?
 * Sermon Manager is definitely available via the WordPress directory, so you should
   be able to update from your current version.
 * The current version has two player options, both of which would not cause that
   error, one is relying on the browser default and the other is plyr.io which is
   HTML5, so both would work fine.
 * If you can update your plugin, that will most likely solve the issue, but if
   you can’t see an update available, that’s another thing.
 * If you can just confirm your version that would be good, a screenshot might be
   helpful too 🙂
 * Thanks,
    Igor

 * Also, what Igor did not mention is that you could remove Sermon Manager from
   your website and then to download and install latest.
 * Sermons will NOT be removed.
 * PS: It’s a good idea to make a full database backup before installing latest
   version. There were some big changes in the meantime.

 * Thanks for the responses. So to be a bit more clear, someone else installed the
   wordpress, and when I got it – the sermon plugin seems somehow integrated into
   the theme or the install itself because it does not show up in the list of plugins…
   but it is available from the side menu of wp-admin page (obliviously, we have
   been using it all this time). But I can’t see how it got integrated without showing
   up in the plugins as it normally would.
 * I am glad to hear I won’t lose the database, and I do back it up regularly. However
   I don’t even know how to get the old version out to put the new one in. it doesn’t
   say what version it is in the settings themselves anywhere but it hasn’t been
   updated for 4 years so it is vintage 2013 or so I imagine.
 * I even tried installing the latest version and activating it as a plugin, but
   it doesn’t seem to have any effect… the old version stay in place and the new
   version doesn’t show up (although I can see it in the plugs directory, and it
   says its active) I can then remove it again without any ill effects. its as if
   it is ignored.
 * I’m perplexed. 🙂
 * May just have to build a new WP site and see if I can import the database.

 * Hey [@pgraham](https://wordpress.org/support/users/pgraham/),
 * Thank you for detailed response.
 * Just for your information, you are now talking to new owners of Sermon Manager
   and WP For Church, we bought the company and plugin couple months ago and that
   integration is something that we did not know about.
 * Yeah, you could build a new WP site and maybe import old database records.
 * But, you could also send us some FTP and WordPress logins to [hello@wpforchurch.com](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/flash-player-2/hello@wpforchurch.com?output_format=md),
   since we are really interested to see what is going on there. We would also check
   if migration can be done automatically for you.
