  • Hi,

    I was wondering:
    I want to replace the background in my Theme. Right now it’s setup like background.jpg. I Want to have a flash (.SWF) in the background. How am I supposed to do this ?

    body {
    	background: #CCD8E0 url('img/bg.jpg') repeat-x left bottom;
    	color: #444;
    	font: normal 62.5% Tahoma, sans-serif

  • You cannot place a flash swf file as a background image.

    you may try this:

    make a flash that include your blog name and info.

    add the flash in the template header.php and delete the following and other necessary code:

    <h1>< a href=”<?php bloginfo(‘url’); ?>/”><?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?></ a ></h1>
    <p class=”XXXXX”><?php bloginfo(‘description’); ?></p>

    Shit, damn shame.

    Are there any WP Flash theme’s that are working?

    Has anyone been able to make this work?

    Yes, it’s possible. Although you can’t do it directly by changing the css to point to the .swf file.
    I did it using the kimili plug in and then used a suggestion from this site that recommends this bit of css “<div id=”layer” style=”position:absolute; width:’100%’; height:’100%’; z-index:100; left: 1px; top: 1px”> “.

    After a few hours of tweeking the styles to make the layers display properly it appears to work.

    You can see the beginnings of something that I am designing here. The title of the page is a layer on top of the flash image.
