[resolved] Flash Fallback hard-refresh issues (2 posts)

This plugin is working great for me in all aspects but one.

When IE7 / IE8 use the Flash fallback to play the video, there are some irregularities.

On a hard refresh (ctrl-f5) or the first page load after emptying the cache, the video does not load. A black screen just stays in place of the video. Looking at the developer tools console, I just see an endless string of "object errors".

If I then either refresh the page using the refresh button, or just highlight the location bar and hit enter to reload the page, the same video works just fine using the flash fallback.

It may be worth noting that I have loop enabled, controls disabled, preload set to "auto" and all 3 video types (mp4, ogv, and webm) present. I am not using "autoplay" but instead am using the "play()" API method when the player is "ready" (as per the API docs http://videojs.com/docs/api/ ).

Any help or suggestions that anyone could offer would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I've noticed a few of the same issues. I'm pretty sure they are related to Video.js itself, not just the WordPress plugin, so it would be worth asking about them on the Video.js support page.
