No, those settings disappear if I deactivate the menu plugin.

The MslsMenu addon adds flags to menu-locations, the one (or more) that you can choose in the settings. Shortcode and widget come directly from the Multisite Language Switcher, this is more useful in sidebars… Did you try to select more than one location?

Regarding the undesired output: It is hard to say what’s the problem (from the outside). I guess the theme is a paid on (you wrote it is part of Genesis) which makes it hard to check.

The problem is with my theme, the mobile menu can be built with widgets, shortcode, etc.
I tried to add it that way, but with the coding to block the appearance of flags, it doesn’t appear.
It won’t show up in the mobile menu even if I select that menu in the MSLS settings. When I asked my theme developer about it, he said:
“As for the flag on mobile, that plugin is actually adding invalid markup to the menu so when our javascript builds the mobile menu it ignores that item because it’s not actually a menu item, it’s a random link. You could however just put that same link in the Mobile Menu template part.”
If I add it as a link or shortcode, though, it gets blocked by the coding used to remove the flags from everywhere else all over the place.

There is an easy way to set this or to use filters if there is a need for a more specific integration.

    Did you already check msls.co?

I’ve read everything there several times, but I can’t find anything that helps to stop the flags from showing up where they shouldn’t- and that will still allow them to show up where I want them. (If there is something there, I haven’t understood it.)

It is hard to say seeing it only from the outside. You can write me directly via mail: re@lloc.de

    Hi Dennis,
I sent you an email with the login information for my staging site a while back, but I haven’t heard back. I just wanted to check in to see if you got it.
