    Dear

First, let me thank you for the great work you have put into this plugin! So far, it is the best one I have tried for running multilingual wordpress sites.

However, I have a problem on one of my sites: The flags are not showing. I think it might have something to do with the theme I am using (a child of Bouquet), but I can’t figure it out:

The flags should be right next to the search bar. And it is clearly *something* there, but the images are not displayed. Do you any idea how to solve this?

    Best

For what I have seen from your website, the language switcher is a menu item. For what I tested, it works perfectly with the theme Bouquet. So I guess you customized nav menus in your child theme. You should look there. Are you using a custom walker?

Thanks for the quick reply. I am not using a custom walker, and the only thing I changed in my child theme were the colors of the nav bar. Not sure if this could actually cause this behavior.

Another possiblity is that your language settings are wrong (same problem as http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-polylangwrong-translation-on-startpage)

You must use correct WordPress locales for your languages:
    English: ‘en_US’
    German: ‘de_DE’

You can use whatever you want as names. You can keep ‘en_us’ and ‘de_de’ as languages code (or use ‘en’ and ‘de’)

That did it for me. Thank you so much!
For some strange reason, the locales were set to “german” and “english”. Changing them solved the problem.

    Cheers!

That may occur if you tested Xili language.

Indeed, I had Xili installed before but did not like it. Good to know
